O-Zone instructions and safety (device works fine btw)

This device comes in very basic iPhone like packaging and although the small manual is entirely in Chinese(?) the instructions are fairly straightforward and in my experience the device works well. Since many reviews said they couldn't figure out how to use it and a few others talk about safety, here let me add some basic usage instructions and clarify questions about O-Zone: After plugging in, press the power button to three view options. Once the power button changes color, the mode cycle has begun. If it's red, be sure to exit the nearby area (more below). Option 1: time. In this mode, the device will operate in O-zone generation mode for a 30-minute cycle and then turn off. The power indicator flashes red to remind you to leave the area. Option 2: circle. This will start the device in O-Zone generation mode with hourly cycles, run for 10 minutes, stop at 50 and then start again. The device flashes red when an O-Zone is actively being generated; Keep away from the immediate area when flashing. Option 3: anion. This causes the device to continuously operate in ion generation mode, causing airborne particles such as dust and pollutants to become negatively charged and fall out of the air (landing on a nearby surface). In this mode, it is safe to be near the device. Due to the nature of ionic cleaning, a layer of sticky dust/particles will build up on the surrounding surfaces over time. This is a substance that used to be suspended in and precipitated out of the air. It is important to note that the creation of indoor O-zones is a hotly debated topic. It's *safe* for humans and animals BUT ONLY IN SMALL QUANTITIES. O-Zone is a powerful and natural oxidizer, meaning it destroys ions from living cells and kills them. This makes it ideal for deodorizing, disinfecting and killing unwanted germs. It also means that direct skin contact or inhalation by living beings in amounts greater than negligible is unhealthy. The average outdoor O-zone is 2-3 PPM (parts per million). Anything below 5-10 ppm is generally considered safe for general use. Devices like these generate 75 to 200 ppm per hour when operating, so they can quickly raise levels to unsafe levels in a confined space. For this reason, it is recommended not to be in the vicinity when these devices are in O-zone generation mode (mode 1 or 2 on this device). Like anything you buy, use this type of device with common sense and safe practices. Personally I find it works as advertised and I will continue to use it safely as outlined above.
