My wife got this for me for Father's Day to replace an old outdated grill that we have had for a long time. The old grill still works fine, but it's more difficult to clean because the teflon coating has worn off and you can't remove the plates to clean. We figured we would get a new one with removable panels and she ordered this one. What's good: She's a very good cook. We made London Broil and it came out perfect. The plates are easy to remove for cleaning and have been fairly easy to clean up until now. The Bad: 1) It's small, only 10.5 x 12 inches. Our old one was twice as big. This is mostly normal. But I would say it's too small for a family of four. 2) Our old one could be stored standing on one end and took up less pantry space. Not so about that. 3) Difficult to process when hot. Our old one had side handles to move the grill around when it was hot. At this point, all surfaces are getting too hot until they cool down. Verdict: It's a shame the woman didn't spend another $20-$30 on a larger, easier-to-handle model.
