I have followed all the instructions. Place them outside in direct sunlight for 2-3 hours on EACH SIDE of the bag. I bought them for our house in the mountains and my parents' house on the beach. Since both are holiday homes and we don't stay in either of them constantly, it smells a bit musty every time we visit. We hung 9 medium and large size bags in each place. I saw absolutely NO difference in our mountain home and they saw absolutely NO difference in their beach house. I have no idea how anyone says these products fight strong odors like smoke, toilet and pet odor when for us they can't even handle light odors. We gave them 3 months to see if they would start working and they did nothing. We kicked them all out. waste of money.
