Revainrating 4 out of 5

Such a long kitchen scale!

After years of weighing on kitchen and bathroom scales, I've finally decided I've had enough. The reviews and the $26 price tag on this scale convinced me to try it. I LOVE this scale. I give it four stars instead of five for two reasons. At first I assumed the AC plug cable would connect to the base, but it doesn't connect to the reader. The wire comes out on the opposite side as the wire also goes to the base making cable routing a bit tricky. I've finally found a configuration that works well enough and I'm very happy that the power supply comes with the scale, but it would be nice if it came out on the same side as the meter. The other problem is that the auto-off seems to have a very short duration, meaning you have to turn it back on very regularly. Loading times are also a bit slow. I wish there was a way to disable the auto shut off. With the AC adapter the auto shut off seems a bit pointless to me, it doesn't seem like it uses much power and with the AC adapter there is no need to drain the batteries. Anyway, great little scale for mom and dad shippers. MUCH better than using a kitchen scale!
