I like these things. I bought them not to make ice cream, but to store chopped veggies, herbs and the like. Cubes pop out perfectly by pressing on the ground. These are 1x1 inch cubes. I process broccoli to add to soups, pasta sauces, and stir-fries. use enough olive oil to hold it together). It's so convenient and so much better than just keeping the root in the freezer. I haven't tried carrots yet, but I'll try with leftover carrots. also cooked diced parsley, cilantro, and basil. Much easier to have on hand than worrying if my grocery store has fresh basil (often out of stock) and then worrying it won't go bad when I need it Go shopping every two weeks. I'm glad they're dishwasher safe as getting the olive oil residue off the cubes wouldn't be easy. I also use them to store leftover tomato sauce, tomato paste, beef or chicken broth when needed. You can use these bowls for so many things!
