I would say Hydrant is one of the healthiest powder mixes on the market based on the ingredients. The hydrant has magnesium and zinc but the Liquid IV doesn't, they're still low but it's better than nothing. Less sugar, little sugar and no synthetic vitamins. IV liquid, on the other hand, tastes a lot better but doesn't contain magnesium and also contains various synthetic vitamins that can be beneficial for people with severe nutritional deficiencies, but for those who are already healthy and need optimal nutrients, it's not the best. The flavor in Liquid IV is stronger, has more sugar and is cheaper. I think Liquid IV will make more cups for less and in a way make more money if flavor and more servings are what you're after. Liquid IV has nearly three times more sugar than Hydrant (11g per stick versus 3-4g per stick), which I think accounts for a large part of the former's short-term uplifting effects. It depends on your lifestyle which one suits you best, extra sugar can be good if you are into high intensity workouts/sports. For people who are sedentary but still want to develop mentally, have more endurance and want to focus more on electrolytes and extra zinc, or are diabetic and want something healthy without impacting their blood sugar as badly, I personally think Hydrant could be more ideal. After all, you pay a little more for Hydrant. I don't like their iced tea flavor because the powder contains moisture which I think is worse for long term storage.
