This is better than the dock that Nintendo offers with its own product. Gone are the days of cramming your expensive console between brittle plastic dividers, hoping everything would fit together. The console sits directly on top for easy docking, and the front screen lights up to let you know it's properly seated. Unlike the original dock, this one can be deactivated to act as a base stand, which ALSO works better than the screen stand that came with the Switch. The blue plastic cover does not protrude above the screen, and the glow is turned off and does not disturb the picture at all. Last thing I noticed was the size, it fits in the palm of my hand or fits comfortably in most jacket pockets, it's very easy to carry, even just as an extra support for your switch when gaming on the go. The small size didn't interfere with my game in any way. While it doesn't come with any cables, all cables are standard anyway, and I was able to plug it in and start playing as soon as I opened up my new dock. Overall, it seems like they paid a lot more attention to this product than Nintendo did. , and if I ever need a replacement, I know where to look.
