Garmin mount too loose. On my third ride, a minor impact caused my 1030 to fly away and crack a corner (see pic). The metal body of the mount is fine. The plastic insert that you snap the computer into has fallen through. Lesson: A $30 mount will destroy a $600 bike computer. (The Garmin computer is a very solid computer that endured thousands of miles on pavement and dirt before meeting a worthy competitor in a cheap mount.) I highly recommend finding another brand. Update: After removing it I took a closer look at the mount. That. The plastic insert that holds the cycle computer is thin and cracked (see image around bottom screw). The small plastic flanges that are actually attached to the Garmin are also too flexible. I compared it to a previous Dymoece mount I used on a different bike. The old mount's plastic mount is thicker and stronger and will hold the same Garmin on much bumpier roads (this is on a gravel bike). The plastic part of the newer bracket is embossed with the letters "GM". There is no mark on the old, more durable bracket. If you get a "GM" stamp - I'd beware - keep an eye on it or you could lose your computer!
