I was hesitant to buy this product at first. The original lamp in my Epson 3700 Home Theater Projector started dying 3 years after purchase. It's designed to last longer, but I've been using my projector for more than the 1 hour a day stated in the Epson manual, which rated the lamp for much longer, so I wasn't shocked. I was surprised that Epson stopped making an OEM replacement bulb for it which you can see on their shop website. Looking around, I saw many replacement lamp sellers on Revain with mixed reviews at best. But I bought this one and figured I could always return it. The lamp arrived quickly on the leaderboard in packaging clearly marked 'new', well lined and with foam on the outside of the lining which was amazing. It was clearly marked new so I was excited. It also came with two new screws which was nice. Removing the old lamp is easy. I put a new one in and pushed it into place and used the new screws. I've had it installed for 3 weeks now and no problems. My image is much brighter than the original lamp that was dying and the fan does NOT spin when you start the projector like the OEM lamp did. Overall very satisfied. It's expensive, and the OEM bulb was $99. BUT RESELLER bought back the shares and sold them on eBay and other sites. Don't fall for the bad reviews here. They're probably resellers who want you to buy the rest of Epson's stock. MSRP was $99 and I've seen prices around $300 on various websites. They just tagged them after a crowd. I did a lot of research because I didn't want to buy a new projector due to misinformation about lamps. Great replacement. I will buy more.
