Have been using the USB-C hub for about two weeks. So far it's working better than expected. I currently connect a 32" monitor via an HDMI port, a USB stick and an external USB hard drive. Unlike my other hub, the Chosure one powers both USB sticks with no problem. The hub just seems to to heat while the laptop battery is charging. Otherwise it's just a warm note. I'm not sure if this depends on the USB-C port on the laptop or the USB-C port on the hub, but the connection to the Laptop is secure I tried unplugging it and it has resistance so there was no accidental disconnection.
