THE BEST BRUP THE MOST COMFORTABLE SANDAL! E WORD! So why only 3 stars? (I downgraded it to 1 star on 12/11/2021. Zero stars was not available.) I bought the predecessor to this many years ago... can't remember exactly what the animators called them... but they were the one predecessor of this one. Great sandals. I wore them every day for years. At the same time I had a much more expensive pair of ROCKPORTS; I couldn't tell you the difference between them. I loved them both. These SKETCHER are half the price. And ROCKPORT just switched to a blunt (yes: STOOOPID) dual Velcro strap across the heel, with many of the same issues I have with it. "But the quality of my first pair of SKETCHERS was the reason I chose them. At first I refused to buy them. The synthetic rubber insole was very different from my original sandals (which were leather) and I was concerned about moisture. No problem with these sandals. And I really like the new style insole. These are truly AMAZING sandals. Very comfortable and supportive. I wore them all day the first day. I wear them every day and it's like walking in the sun! My big complaint: Velcro straps. Unlike the original (and every pair of quality sandals I've ever owned) it's not enough. The velcro on the sandal itself, not the strap itself, is not long enough. None of the straps (and there are three on these sandals) is insufficient to keep the strap fully attached and flush with the sandal itself. So it stands out. LIKE ½ inch! Oh well! It doesn't just look silly (STOOPID) when it sticks out. Clings to everything. A LOT OF! Pretty pain in the butt! And every time he keeps pulling on the velcro. Velcro is short-lived enough, let's not shorten its durability. *** UPDATE *** Solid 3 stars here. I'm sorry people. I've been there for ten days. Yes, they are very comfortable. BUT: The healing band does not rise high enough (e.g. near the Achilles tendon) and therefore continues to slide down to heal. It's a real pain in the ass to lug him back through the day. I have never experienced this with any other sandal I have ever owned. Still very comfortable. But if they go the way of the woolly mammoth...I'll buy elsewhere. UPDATE 12/10/2021 Shit! Shit! absolutely shit! (see second photo) Come on! Worn for two months and the buckle on the side broke?! These sandals couldn't suck any more than they did!
