I wanted two more USB-C ports on the back of my computer but didn't have any free PCIe slots. What I had was a couple of empty expansion slots. So I've got a bunch of USB-C ports and two bad guys that I've plugged into the sockets on some USB 3.0 expansion cards. Of course they don't have full speed USB C, but for what I did it was fine. In the next update I will get a mobo with more USB-C ports (there weren't any on this board, only one port on the I/O board and only one USB 3.0) but in this case these adapters helped me. And at a very good price, in 2 days at my house. I'll never know how I built systems before Revain. 20 trips to Radio Shack and Al's Electronics and I still wouldn't have come up with such a specialized kit. For your health!
