I purchased this item and used it for three months prior to writing this review in hopes of gathering as much data as possible. weak even at the top of my house just above the router. My 8 year old Walmart NetGear with no antennas gives a much stronger signal. I can use it 2 houses down the street in any direction where this model can't even reach my garage. Exacerbate the problem. Drops in signal, even on hardwired computers near this router, intermittently and usually half a dozen times a week (which I know if I'm actively using the internet when the dropout occurs), and luckily for me it's always happened, when I was playing an MMO. This meant that by the time I reconnected, I had already been kicked out of the dungeon/mission I was in a long time ago and marked as dropped from the group with the penalties incurred. I switched back to the old one I had, this just didn't work for me.
