UPDATE 6/23/19: The seller contacted me immediately and offered to send me a new tested one. The new one came a few days later and I hooked it up to my Dyson 44. At first I thought it was another error from the box because after plugging in the charger the LED blinked twice and then went off. I tested the charger with two different batteries with the same result. The LED flashes and goes out. Frustrated, I just left it on and left. After about 2 hours I found that it was charging! Since then I do not have problems anymore. I noticed that unlike the original Dyson charger, the charger doesn't charge until the battery is almost empty. This can actually extend battery life. Several reviewers of this charger pointed out the same blinking and not charging. If this happens to you, leave it plugged in and see what happens. Note: my first out of box failure did nothing, not flashed, but I left it unplugged for a while so assumed it wasn't working. So if you need a charger try it now it works fine for me.
