Too many wrong things to be a serious light

I've been doing electrical work for almost 50 years so this isn't a beginner problem. Too many for one item to be serious. I bought 3 of these; 15 inches (2) and 43 inches (1) and still the same problem - the main design flaws. (1) It comes with a mounting plate which is meant to be universal, but it didn't fit an installed electrical box - they all had to be drilled to match the holes in our standard American electrical boxes. (2) Only one end of the mounting plate attaches to the bracket - the other end (the long one) just floats, so don't expect a smooth attachment to the wall without a lot of fiddling. (3) There is a transformer inside the unit which is fixed with poor quality double sided tape which can cause the transformer to fall out during installation (4) There is no alignment mechanism such as a protrusion to aid in aligning the fixture and mounting plates . Expect to wiggle it back and forth until you get lucky and the first screw hits the hole. The 43-inch block was killer and (5) the light output was reasonable. The basic design allows you to light up the area with no more than half (my eyeball estimate) the nominal light. So the bottom line is, if you don't like the look of it and you're willing to pay big to install it, don't buy it.
