Our cat LOVES this thing. We sprinkle it with silver tendrils and it has a great time scratching, rolling and then sleeping on it. Pros: - It was very cheap (I think we paid $4.19 for it) and since the cat will easily destroy it and it will eventually have to be replaced, this is an important consideration. - it holds the catnip/silver tendril very well - the cat loves it - doesn't take up too much space - you can remove the cardboard backing and scratch the underside. Cons: - It creates a mess with all the torn pieces of cardboard. I really don't mind as you can just vacuum it up and every scratch has a certain level of clutter. If you put catnip or silvervine on top, they will go through the holes, and then when you remove the cardboard from the back, a lot of silvervine will fall out. big cat. However, it is very suitable for use on the ground. It's a bit small, my cat can adjust and is quite happy with it, but if you have a very big cat it might be a little smaller for her. It's not perfect but for the price considering how happy my cat is I think this was a great purchase.
