Great product that will save you a lot of money. Works just as well as the original RAM in iMac and MacPro. Changed RAM from 4GB to 8GB on my 3 Apple computers. I saved about $425 by making it myself. iMac desktops are easy to swap out as there is only one screw to remove from the underside of the computer on the underside beneath the black Apple logo. NOTEBOOK MacPro requires removing the cover on the back of the laptop. To do this, unscrew 10 very small Phillips screws. Read the instructions carefully. It's very easy if you're mechanically inclined, but you have to be very careful and make sure to put the screws back in the same holes they came out of. Apple computers immediately recognized the new Kingston RAM and you can verify that the update was successful by clicking the black Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen and then clicking About This Mac. It shows the current state of your computer. Store the old memory in the plastic holders that the new RAM came in.
