Review on ๐ŸŽ’ Protective Storage Case Bag for Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset by Jilin by Anna Dominguez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Decent quality but smells like my grandma

I can echo the other reviewer's claim about the strong smell. I could handle it if it were soft, but I can probably smell it over a meter away. It smells like it's been in an abandoned warehouse for years. The case itself is of excellent quality in terms of value for money. But it will be totally useless if I can get rid of that smell. If I can get rid of this smell I will increase my rating. If not I will downgrade it to 1 star and will definitely send it back. I will post an update. UPDATE: Despite my best efforts, I'm convinced that the chemical smell will never go away. The seller was very accommodating of my request for a refund so I will give it to him. But look what I did to get rid of the odor: - Hand wash the case with warm soapy water - Use a spare odor neutralizer I had, left it in the case for almost a day. Run the case in the washing machine with a hot water setting and a full jar of detergent. Made 3 times - Left open overnight - Tried odor eliminator again - Even the case/screen protector that came with it didn't lose the smell. I hope I don't get cancer from this. Thing. I bought another case for $50 from a different brand and it smelled exactly the same. Very frustrating and can't believe they are allowed to sell this junk. My advice to anyone looking for a case for the Oculus Quest 2 is to either buy the official Oculus case or get a Pelican case like the Vcv100 from Best Buy. I received the Pelican case and while it fits well, it is very durable, waterproof and doesn't smell like cancer. However, it may be too small for people who need an Elite harness. Hope that helps!
