Despite all the negative reviews, this extension cord is amazing (in my opinion). I don't normally write reviews but I've seen all the negative reviews and felt the need to add my 2 cents. Yes it's not a voltage converter but it looks like the description has been updated. Reasons it's great: 1) more than enough outlets 2) USB charges super fast 3) detachable cable for easy portability AND the ability to purchase a longer cable (I have a 10ft and 15ft 14 Bought gauge wire so I'm not restricted in where I go) 4) small LED to indicate unit is on 5) on/off button is great 6) light weight 7) surge protector. Not sure I really believe the Joules advertised, but if it's half true then that's great. If you are looking for a surge protector with a detachable cord that is compact enough, then this is it.
