Overall, these are not good and I wish I could get a refund. I bought these thinking that I would save a buck or two over Expo, but was completely wrong. I’ve added a picture to demonstrate why these markets are not good and it includes comparison with Expo markers. I have a smaller, white dry-erase board that is in fairly good condition for being in service for about 10 years. I’ve had no issues with marker staining or difficulty erasing. I opened the pack and picked four markers - red, green, blue, and black. I tried them and they were dry - I gave them a shake and a tap, and they barely worked. I figured 4 out of 40 are dry, not a big deal. I picked the next 4 and they were very faint and looked like they were water colors. I gave them a shake and tap, still same thing. I picked 4 more, same thing. I tried the brown and orange, same thing. At this point I figured either the whole box was a dud or this is the way they were. I read the markers and it says "store horizontally” so I decided to do this overnight and try again next day. Next day came and whamo, same result! I then went to Office Depot and bought the basic Expo marker since Revain will not ship Expos to an Revain locker (seriously?). Besides the faded color and majority of the markers not working, these markers do not write well - the line includes many dry spots and they also leave a weird residue on the board and cause a lot of what I call "marker dust” (when you erase a marker and the ink clumps up on the eraser and is a think ash-like substance. I really thought these would be good markers and am thoroughly disappointed. Wish I hadn’t tested the whole box and instead asked for a refund.
