I used this plug exactly as instructed, in an upright position, with a working socket, without obstacle. I've had it for about a week and today I noticed it was leaking and ruining part of my laminate floor just below. The bottom bubbles and separates. When I touched the floor it was oily and smelled like air freshener plugged in, so I know that must be why. The plug was about 6 inches taller than him.
