This brush is great for styling straight hair. This is probably the best brush I've ever used to style. It glides gently through the hair and gives it volume. The hair is easy to style the way I want it, straight with a curl at the end and the curl lasts all day. However, there is a problem with the coating on the handle. It looks like rubber, but it's just a light coating on the plastic and it's designed to be easy to hold without slipping. The coating comes off in small pieces when you use the brush. It was fine for a week, then I noticed black flakes in the sink and on the bathroom floor. The cover wears out with every use. I have a photo showing where the coating has worn away, but I've since taken light sandpaper and sanded off the rest of the coating because I got tired of cleaning the flakes after blowing out the hair. I still use the brush because it works so well.
