Review on Philips SHN2500 Noise Canceling Discontinued Manufacturer by Roosevelt Weaver

Transatlantic flights have bothered me with noise for the past few years. At first it was oppressive in flight, then it took a while before I could hear normally. So I decided to try noise canceling headphones. Being a phase-cancelling musician is easy to appreciate. Then I saw that the ones advertised were $300. You can get a decent large-diaphragm microphone and studio headphones for less! I started looking for something cheaper. I found it interesting, they had specs similar to $100 headphones. I just spent too much on toys and decided to give it a try. For those who say the noise cancellation doesn't work on them, I have to wonder. I turned them on when we were 10 minutes off the ground and turned them off after a while. I wasn't sure I would get much use out of it. However, after my first 4 and 6 hour flights, when the pilot told me to turn off the electronics, it dawned on me. While this didn't eliminate the flight noise, it reduced it to the level I had mentally set it to. As soon as I turned off the noise reduction, I immediately heard an unpleasant roar from the engines. It seems the longer you wear them the better and they are very comfortable. I can't compare them to big dogs but they are more than satisfactory and you don't look like you think you're in a niche and getting ready to record a vocal track. People who didn't have noise-cancelling didn't understand the intended use or battery consumption or anything like that. I'm not sure how long the battery lasts but I got 22 hours on four flights. It also has an adapter for old airplane audio jacks. I haven't tried it for other things, but I think it would be good for trains too. At this price you'd have to be crazy not to get them when you travel.
