This scale is very accurate. As an example, I've uploaded two photos showing the weight before and after processing beef into jerky. Dehydrating meat to make it jerky cuts the weight in half. So a pound of beef would be 8 ounces of beef jerky. Both were tared together with the plate on the scale. (Essentially, you put any container you use to measure food on the scale before you turn it on, and when it starts it will show 0 with the container on it). As you can see the first weight (before dehydration) was exactly how the butcher weighed it. The second photo shows that this is pretty much exactly half the original weight (plus or minus an ounce). So yeah, it's a damn good, accurate scale! Oh, and I like watches too. And a hook to hang it up when not in use.
