Good all-round panel in neat packaging

I have no idea who made the panel and controller, but it's a decent kit. The screen can be very bright and has a decent response time. Gray to gray is visible if you look for it, but not a problem in normal use. You should keep the brightness of 8/10 without a dedicated power supply, otherwise it will consume too much power and shut down. The speakers aren't very good, not very loud, and they lack bass - even with dedicated performance. They fill the space around the device quite well and are quite transparent. They'll get the job done when you need them and have nothing else, but you don't want them to be your first choice. For the size of the device, they're certainly better than the competition. You can completely mute the sound in the OSD if the panel stays bright, otherwise it will consume too much power. Turning the sound off completely instead of keeping the volume down to 0 seems to reduce power consumption somewhat. Some minor issues are that the buttons on the side aren't secured in their casing (but they don't feel like they're going to fall out or anything). ), and the case is kind of crappy - it's also a lot wider than the device itself, which is probably for extra cushioning in the event of a fall, but in my situation it's a lot harder to put in a bag because of this one. I think the upgraded case will make this purchase more worthwhile. When I tested it, it worked well with USB 3 DP Alt Mode (USB-C to USB-C), HDMI MHL Alt Mode (USB-C to Mini HDMI with passive adapter). ) and dual-mode DP (DP to mini-HDMI with passive adapter). I can use it directly with my Steam deck or plug it into a Dell dock for extra power.

Pros
  • Smart case and screen protector
Cons
  • No instructions
