My son and I loved them when we first got them. However, they only lasted ONE month! He wore them almost every day, but he hasn't started school or kindergarten yet, so he doesn't wear shoes all day - every day. Therefore, they should NOT wear out in such a short time. When I noticed the hole in the sole of the right boot (which is almost flush with the inner lining - if you press the hole with the boot on, you can clearly feel the ball of your foot) we were already two days later the return date! I really liked these shoes and thought I'd buy a similar pair when they wore out but figured they would last at least 3 months or so - most of the summer? Instead we had to switch to another pair of trainers/walkers and buy a pair of Keens as the Stride Rites just couldn't crack them.
