Review on ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ Stylish and Versatile TECS Women's Aquasock Water Shoe: Ideal for Water Activities and Outdoor Adventures by James Richardson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Looks and fits well, but doesn't stand up to water aerobics.

I usually wear women's shoes 6 - 6 1/2, very roomy shoes. Size 7 fits both width and length. There is an elastic band around the top that can be tightened for the snug fit you need in the water. Luckily they were wide enough for my very wide feet. I loved the way they looked and felt on my feet until I started doing water aerobics. The insoles of both shoes kept slipping during training. After an hour of use, the insole crumpled under the toes. I'll try something like Shoe Goo to see if that helps keep the insoles in place. I was thinking of using a padding needle and stitching it through the sole in a few places but I'm afraid the abrasion from the bottom of the pool will just rip the stitching. Speaking of abrasion, the small lugs on the bottom of the outsole are great for slip resistance. However, after an hour of water aerobics, all the spikes were worn out from the part of the sole that constantly hits the rough surface of the pool floor. Based on the wear rate of the outsole in just one session, I would estimate that they will last me 1-3 months max if I go to class twice a week until the sole cracks completely. And I think I'm being generous here. It's possible that these shoes are better suited for the beach or pool than for aerobics. I think the abrasiveness of the sand would be a lot more forgiving than the training I gave them on the rough bottom of the pool. I like how they look. i love to land I like how they feel in the water. But they just don't meet my needs and I wanted them so bad.
