XL should have more sides?

I received my package on April 3rd. I used this cartridge (910 XL black ink) a few days after my current cartridge ran out. Is my printer showing low black ink today? According to the manufacturer, the HP 910XL can write up to 825 pages. I verified that I printed about 200 pages in less than a month. Can someone explain why this happened? Many Thanks,
