The hose was incorrectly attached to the sleeve when delivered. The small black latch should snap inside. Since it didn't, I couldn't roll a solid pipe into a vacuum hose for storage. With a little patience, a headlamp, and pliers, I was able to disassemble and repair my purchase in about 20 minutes. I cursed the plastic most of the time, hoping it wouldn't come loose or break, then took a deep breath and tried again. After I installed it, attaching the base of the extension tube was a challenge. I had to wiggle it and place it at the exact angle for it to snap into place rather than fall off. Since then the replacement tube has worked great! No problem to lengthen or fold the extension tube. Great product, just what I need. I just wish there was a little more care and attention in assembly prior to distribution.
