They are very good. This type of mount is much better if you have a spring working against it to keep it taut like the suspension on an ATV. I bought a Honda Pioneer side by side and bought some kits to have it strapped to my trailer during transport. They slip off a bit under heavy loads unless you pull really hard and then pull on the back of the locking mechanism to lock it firmly. The fastening side digs into the tape and scratches it so badly that it no longer slips off. I've transported mine side by side using one of them as a tie down over rough roads for long distances and it hasn't slipped. I think slippage will be less of an issue as the straps wear out a bit. The new straps are pretty smooth. They need some shading, which will happen over time. Otherwise, I have no complaints about these fasteners. A reliable, simple design should last and get better as it breaks in.
