I used this to assemble and move limbs to brush piles after a hurricane. For these tasks it worked perfectly. I haven't used it to pull out rooted brushes, although I would recommend that you cut them off at ground level with a chainsaw first. In my youth I was a lumberjack, among other things a chain binder. I know how to tune this device for the best traction. Then I'm going to use this to secure a bundle of 6" x 6" x 24' long bars (weighing about 5000 lbs), but that's for later. I'm sure this device will do the job.
