These are great pre-folds for daytime naps and intense hydration. Become more absorbent with use if you are very careful not to stain them with diaper cream. We use Granny El sometimes and there are no problems. You must wash them with liquid detergent, otherwise the detergent will get into the small crevices and make them less absorbent. They also tend to get stiff - at least in my washing machine - but they don't seem to bother my son. However, they are too stiff to be used as an insert - Hemp Thirsties are a bit more useful in that regard. Overall a very good product.
