I don't usually write reviews of anything. As a licensed make-up artist and beautician, I am very critical of mascara. I tried different brands, from cheap to very expensive. My main requirement is that they be cruelty-free. The fact is, most cruelty-free mascaras fall short and look "too natural". I only wear mascara and lip gloss, so I want my mascara to stand out without looking heavy or cluttered. This mascara only needs one application. Provides excellent lash separation and really lengthens them. I'm lucky that I have pretty long lashes because I use lash conditioner at night. However, after applying this mascara, my middle lashes literally touched the tip of my brow bone. I would recommend using a professional eyelash curler like Shu Uemura with this mascara for maximum results. This formula supports curls and helps keep them in place all day. I didn't notice much peeling. Maybe two tiny, pepper-sized glasses after a long, wet day, but in my experience, that's pretty normal wear and tear for any brand. I also recommend a waterproof eye makeup remover to remove it easily, even if it's not a waterproof formula. It stays on so well that it speeds up the removal process just a little bit. I would put this product against $40 mascara. I threw away two brands I've tried before. I'm grateful I ordered it and you will too. What a great find for only $5. Wonderful. For reference, Essence also makes great lip glosses and nail products. I recommend this to everyone I know who cares about cruelty free brands. Please do not buy products tested on animals. This is a winner and will continue to get my business.
