We bought these for all the nightstands in our house - our own bedroom and two guest bedrooms. We chose this because we really appreciate the hotels that have them and curse those that don't. Let's be realistic: everyone wants to have their phone with them at night, and when you travel you take things with you that you want to charge for the night - phone backup batteries, Fitbits, etc. etc. So why not offer the same to our guests ?They're small so they don't take up much room on the bedside table, and while you can mount them on the back of the bedside table (like some bedside tables that have built-in plugs in the back), they don't. Because they're not unattractive, we place they like to be where they are easy to use.
