They are too short and therefore painful. I'm torn because I LOVE the little gem that's inside, super shiny and pretty. But last night I tried to get the short pole working but I barely put the gem on it and held it. I've had the Monroe for about 6 years now, woke up this morning with incredible pain in my lip due to the 6mm wand being too short. Of course I should have ordered a size larger, but to be honest I didn't know what size my previous bar was for a long time. Now I'm stuck finding somewhere or re-ordering a bigger rod and waiting another 2 days in great pain to put these gems on because I love their shiny look but find a post that does too suits them and a prolonged streak won't be very easy in the time frame I have as my lip hurts a lot. I just don't understand how they are advertised for lips? I don't understand how anyone can use them without being in excruciating pain.
