Wow, I'm so glad I stumbled across these light switch guards. I set this up in a rented space where four people live to keep the new motion-activated porch light on at all times. When I first installed their new light, I attached a handwritten note to the switch itself, politely reminding people not to turn that particular switch off so their light would come on after dark if motion was detected becomes. It was written on scratch pad paper and looked awful, and my small handwriting made it look even worse. When I spotted these switches online I thought it would look way better. I don't remember them being sold at major hardware stores, but I may have overlooked them. I'm glad to find them here and they look much more professional and neat. See attached photos. If needed during an emergency, you can slide the handle through one side to access the switch and turn it on or off. And you can have the open side face either left or right. It does not matter. But on the other hand, it looks completely closed. The screws that hold the bezel to the wall are perfect for keeping this protective case in place. I highly recommend this item.
