I had to go up in strength, that's the only reason I bought a new pair. My insurance won't cover progressive lenses, and I have trouble wearing bifocals. My opthalmologist has moved the line up and down so many times he's given up. He told me to try a pair of these and which strength to buy. It's been years and I just upped the magnification by .25. They have been surprisingly durable and reliable for what I considered a "cheap fix". I was having an issue with my last pair where the screw on one side was loosening. A dab of clear nail polish on the top of the screw after tightening solved that problem quickly. I have purchased several pairs, and would do it again. I would like some more styles to choose from next time, though.
