Great robot kit with good resources and customer service!

I've wanted to build this robotic dog kit since I first heard it was coming. Price wise it's as complex as the robots costing more than twice as much (even with the cost of the Raspberry Pi board and two 18650 batteries NOT included). It has video face recognition, can follow the red ball and can be controlled with a smartphone app. I've made other Freenove robot kits and it's no wonder there are great reference resources if you need them. There's even a business card with an email address for the support team, who are very responsive and helpful if you need help. The kit just arrived and contains high quality parts very well packaged, metal gear servos, a proprietary Raspberry Pi adapter board. with built-in battery holder, position calibration table, manual and operation software available online via link. Yes, you must use your own Raspberry Pi board (most models are supported) and purchase two 18650 Li-Ion batteries to charge 18650 batteries. As per policy, Revain does not sell these batteries. Yes, these batteries are not available at your local hardware store, but they are easily found online, contrary to what some reviewers say about the 18650 batteries used in other kits. In addition to the robot building experience, prepare to learn about Raspberry. Pi and Python (NOTE: You don't need to learn Python programming to control the robot dog as the code is provided). The resources referenced in the manual provide links to the full working code for the robotic dog. I would highly recommend the Freenove kits and so far I am sharing my first impressions of the robot dog kit and look forward to sharing more after I have it. like a working robot dog.
