This cabinet kit is inexpensive but the materials are of poor quality and you have to assemble the whole cabinet with glue. This cabinet works well as a coffee table in executive offices. We used ALEENE's 15599 8 oz All Purpose Glue available here at Revain. The pre-drilled hole was missing, not a big problem. You will also need these tools, which are cheap and available from Revain: --> Stanley 68-012 Universal Screwdriver --> TEKTON 30812 Double-Ended Softface Mallet, 35mm. Assembly does not require any special skills, just apply glue. all holes and wherever two components come together. The result will be strong and durable. The layer of very thin, low-quality Formica plastic looks good. Our set had obvious Formica flaws which were perfectly concealed by the included pen. Just paint some cracks in formica and erase the excess. The cabinet isn't waterproof because of the crappy plastic, and you can't put a coffee pot on it. So we ordered a plexiglass sheet at a local hardware store.
