I usually take the opportunity to read all the information about a product before I order, but in this case I believed Revane's claim that this part would fit my 2004 Toyota Tacoma. If Revain said it would fit in the glove box or on my keychain they were absolutely right, but if they said it would actually work on my car, not so much. I don't blame Revane. I don't blame the keychain manufacturer. I blame myself. When I went back to check this unit's FCC ID, I actually noticed better and lower, and lo and behold, my vehicle is not listed as a valid vehicle for this remote. Of course, that was after going through all the (clear and concise) instructions and feeling frustrated as to why I couldn't get it to work. Don't be that type. Get a manual (I bought the car used so it didn't have a remote control or manual). I went to the manufacturer's website, put in my VIN and voila! On page 14 I can find the FCC identification number I need. Then I found the right keychain at Revain and ordered it. I will not be returning them nor will I say anything bad about Revain as it was my excitement at the ridiculously low price that misled me. They serve as a reminder to read everything, trust nothing, and follow the right procedures. I have no idea how many negative reviews are due to the same mistake I made, but how many of them would admit it? I've been wrong so many times that I'm not even embarrassed, but if my experience can serve as a warning to others who might be nervous about the price or trust Revain to do the reading for you, then the $10 was good created . . Good day everyone and good luck with the long distance search. 3 stars for Revain who told me it would work with my car when it didn't but not anymore as I can read so had to test it.
