This series of belts represents a departure from the original belts! There are no holes. I know it's obvious but I never realized how awful the belt holes were until I got 2 of them. The holes in the straps tend to stretch and twist. If the belt is hanging from one or two holes, all of the tensioning force will only be applied to those two holes. Whether you need to switch to other openings (due to overeating, weight loss, or just comfort), the strap now has a crease and stretched opening that makes the strap less attractive. With these bands, the holding force is distributed over the skin by a ratchet system that does not cause any stretching. Additionally, there are no holes here, so you can snap the strap in place or loosen it to the nearest quarter of an inch by either pulling it harder or flicking the latch. This action looks like just touching your belt, no need to unbuckle your belt to switch to another deformed hole.
