Review on Lippert Components 362238 Solera Awnbrella -Two Pack by Mike Sutton

Installed this Lippert Awnbrella on my factory installed 10 ft Lippert Solera awning. The quality of the components and installation instructions were excellent - worthy of 5 stars. However the finished results were disappointing.The instructions say not to drill into the awning roller closer that 42" from the end. On a 10 ft awning that leaves the center unevenly spaced. Perhaps on a 12 ft plus awning it would perform better.After adjusting the installed bars per the instructions, it created large wrinkles from the bars to the corners of the open edge of the awning. The awning open edges have a pronounced sag and flap in the wind. This condition did not exist prior to the installation - zero sagging and very minute flapping.While there is a more pronounced arch in the center from the bars, in my opinion it does not offset the negative wrinkles and flapping from the sagging ends.If I had known what the end results would be, I would have never purchased and installed this product.
