Excellent alloy finish, excellent quality underside lining and unit (overall) in excellent condition. The only problem with the particular device I received is that it is not balanced. The first picture I provide shows that the bubble is not exactly centered. For a while I thought my turntable was slightly tilted, but upon closer inspection of the stabilizer I noticed a couple of short raised lines under the felt. The second image shows me pointing to an area where you can feel the raised lines. I'm not sure where they came from, but it could be from the dried glue used to glue the soft backing to the base itself if liquid glue was used; I'm not sure. This does not affect the stabilization of the plate, but now the balancing bubble is useless. I'll be returning this block for an exchange, hopefully I'll get a better block. Overall this stabilizer is useful and does exactly what it was designed to do.
