Review on In The Breeze 2973 Rainbow Wind Spinner by Leon Johnsson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Have fun flying! Excellent value for money and quality!

This is my first time flying a beginner twin line. I am 72 years old and the last time I flew a kite was when I was 12 years old. This kite was a triangular kite with crossed wooden posts. Got a kite to fly with my 6 and 10 year old grandchildren. My flying site is on a grassy hill on my farm with good winds, no trees or power lines. We flew the kite 2 days in a row when the wind speed was between 6 and 21 mph (measured with an anemometer). Cons: If the wind speed is consistently below 6mph this kite will not fly. It flies best when the wind speed is between 10 and 20 miles per hour. If the wind speed exceeds 20 miles per hour, a 50-pound child will be dragged. ) Starts fine. It's easier to launch if one person holds the top leading edge (white leading edge with double hole) to allow the kite to inflate. The lines must be fully taut and parallel to the ground. With his back to the wind, the pilot holds one of the two lines in each hand. As the kite (held by an assistant) fills with air, the pilot may have to step back a few steps and the kite will simply take off. One person (pilot) can do it, but this limited space doesn't allow me to describe how I do it. 2) Easy to fly after you get the hang of it. I had 3 ups and quick downs. After that I could easily hold it for 3-10 minutes. My 6 year old 58 lb grandson mastered it after about 6 accidents. My 75 pound 10 year old grandson repeatedly smashed it and finally gave up in despair and quit. 3) The kite is very well made of nylon ripstop, with polyester lines and hand straps. When the kite falls, nothing breaks because there are no supports. The kite is pre-assembled with instructions. I highly recommend this kite. This is a very well constructed parafoil at a very low price. Excellent value for money and quality. I'm going to buy a second one, so I have a "spare".
