This title is no joke. I got 2 old monitors (Dell and Viewsonic, both older 17" 4x3 aspect ratio monitors) from a junkie for $10 and this cable works with a VGA connection on both. Of course I can only use one at a time, but when gaming/multitasking I need an extra one. My primary monitor is an Acer KN242HYL and I use Viewsonic (oddly 75Hz refresh rate) as my chat/system monitor. Both work great with my ASUS 1060 3GB. Don't let the bad reviews fool you. Either people don't know what they are doing or they don't understand what HDMI-VGA means. HDMI goes from the GPU to the monitor's VGA input. I'm not sure why anyone would be confused by this. Either way, the cable is thick, heavy, and feels premium. I've been using it since early May with no problems. If you have an addict in your area that sells old monitors cheap, go for one of these cables. I should note that I also had to buy a power cable (the same cable you would use for a TV) because it seems it only stole the monitors without even thinking about how to connect them, but it was under $10 so I don't mind. I ended up spending about $30 for 2 monitors and everything needed to connect 1 of them at the same time. Not bad.
