Revainrating 4 out of 5

great for my tired and slightly swollen pregnancy legs.

I have a US women's size 5 wide and I bought a size 6 (it says extra wide). I'm not sure of my current size as I'm 6 months pregnant and think my legs are more swollen than usual. I can still fit in my overused 5.5 mesh running shoes so can't get that far come. I want to say that these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought! There is almost no room for toes, so I would like to say that it is maybe half a size smaller than usual. (for women) The width, even with my slightly swollen feet, isn't as wide as I was hoping as it's labeled "extra wide" but they are made in China (size 37) so was expected that they are small so I went for a size up. I can always go back or find extra socks if my feet aren't swollen. I thought the shoes had more room to open but they seem to be the usual widths and on days when your feet explode there is no room for pregnant women or diabetics. I think they are the regular width (as found in free shoe stores, which were pretty much the only stores I could find my size at). also inserts, inside very soft. These are mesh shoes, as a fan of mesh shoes for my naturally wide feet, this causes the fabric to stretch a bit over time and fit even better. This also means that they are breathable and not waterproof. I was hoping the tongue would open up more, but it's attached about 1.5 inches at the top, so there's less room to stretch out or easily tighten (hands free), but they still glide smoothly. Hands, so if you're having trouble tipping down, it's still easier than lacing up your shoes. The bottom looks like a non-slip shoe style/print. I work in the kitchen and I am required to have official non slip shoes, they are not official but this is a seal and they looked ok in use unless I tested them for oil spills but worked fine job on icy footpaths and spilled water. I gave one star less because of the "very wide" display. they are normal for women or not wide at all compared to men's shoes. new edit: my feet have doubled in size, i can actually still wear the shoes for a bit so they have more wiggle room than i thought. . Now I've noticed that the velcro doesn't take up the whole strip so I'm at where they fit now but I need to tighten the strap a bit so I can reach the velcro. use but don't get to the attached part) I suppose you can glue or see an extra area of velcro to expand it a bit. I stopped working a few weeks after I started wearing them, so I've only worn them about 8 more times to my prenatal appointments. I was on modified bed rest and the soft soles are already starting to wear out. I still think it was a good buy and a comfortable choice for my pregnancy, but if you have a lifelong chronic problem with swollen feet (diabetes, gout, poor circulation, etc.) then I don't feel the need to soles will last a long time . . I think the mesh part of the shoe is much more durable so maybe it would still be a worthwhile investment for the price if you don't mind changing the outsole.
