I bought them for the whole kitchen with cabinets that previously had no hardware and also for 6 cabinets also with no previous hardware in the hallway from the entrance to the living/dining room - so tired of having to practically scrape them open my nails damaged too many times, and when I saw them at Revain where the 25 lot was selling at a good price (definitely lower than any of the big local stores I live in and the best lot!) I decided to buy them like that as long as the reception was good. They came with each pen in a box and are screwed into a separate small plastic bag, but I suspect this is for protection during shipping and storage. Depending on the thickness of your cabinet/drawer front, you may need a longer screw than the one supplied, but they're usually pretty cheap at hardware stores.
