So let me start with a direct answer and then I'll try to explain my review. If you don't want to buy a whole controller but just want to upgrade your d-pad and buttons for a fighting game, then buy them and use a standard cross-shaped d-pad, it will definitely improve your game. Well the reason this is a mixed review is that they haven't updated their video to show how it's done on the newer DS4 models, which is actually important. The whole DIY part is drag and drop and annoying. Because of this, he loses some points. You might get more points if they put a link or something that shows you how it's done, but they're literally telling you to look for a YouTube video that doesn't even exist. The video they have is actually about replacing the controller faceplate, not the buttons, so you'll have to guess. Although the product itself, the quality is excellent, one of my bottoms was quite wobbly but I fixed it fairly quickly. The bowl-shaped D-Pad mount seems great, but it falls off after a few quarter-circle movements, so like I mentioned above, you'll want to put a cross-shaped D-Pad in there.
