I bought and have been using this chair continuously for about 18 years. The construction is very, very solid. The armrests are plastic, nothing happens to them at all. The fabric is free from visible wear and tear. Only the filler on the seat took the shape of the body a little :), which, in other matters, does not interfere. The rollers had to be replaced five years ago, as they became clogged with hair, stopped spinning and began to scratch the laminate. The gas lift had recently failed, although as it turned out later, it could have been repaired immediately, then it would still have served. Once every 4-5 years, the bolts had to be tightened, as they slowly got out and even fell down. At some point, I tightened them especially hard and they seem to have stopped coming out. I will write separately for those who like to eat at the computer. The upholstery material is mesh, so that crumbs and dirt are well fixed on and under the surface. However, over time, the dirt is erased without a trace, and the crumbs either fall down or are knocked out. In short, the material is self-cleaning, but soup should not be spilled on it. In general, if you need a comfortable and almost eternal chair, this is a very good option.
