Now I have a whole collection of Zelite knives and I can definitely say they are the best knives I have ever owned. This Executive Plus chef's knife is no exception. It's like a highly functional work of art, with weight, balance, stunning beauty and razor-sharp sharpness. Like all knives in the Zelite line, it grips the food I'm slicing, so if I'm slicing something that isn't flat (I'm looking at you pesky carrots), the knife is likely to slip, meaning I have fewer chances of getting caught to cut. One of the things that drew me to this new knife is that it comes with a high quality protective leather sheath that snaps securely into place. With a knife this sharp, I like the added security. It also makes it safer and easier to transport to summer barbecues, wherever someone brings a watermelon but forgets to bring a knife. I usually have to make a makeshift suitcase out of a roll of paper towels and rubber bands, but now I'm heading into summer armed like a ninja.
